Mini Cake Class

This Mini Cake Class is a great way to learn three different cake decorating techniques in one class, and to perfect your cake covering technique with three to do. You will learn different finishes (marbling, lustre and brush embroidery), on these adorable mini cakes.
 
This cake class is ideal for beginners, or intermediate cake decorators that would like to learn new techniques.

 

During this class you will learn how to:

  • Split and level your mini sponge cakes and sandwich them together with ganache
  • Cover and crumbcoat your cakes with ganache
  • Colour fondant using paste, in whichever colour scheme you choose
  • Create a marble finish on one of your cakes
  • Cover your cakes with sugarpaste, getting the edges as sharp as possible
  • Lustre one of your cakes
  • Use royal icing for ‘brush embroidery’
  • Create stunning but simple flowers to top your cakes
  • Add the final finishing touches and embellishments, such as ribbon and dusts

At the end of the class, you’ll have three stunning cakes to take home and eat with your friends and family, and will have learnt lots of new techniques so that you can recreate these cakes another time or use each one on a larger cake. All equipment is provided (including delicious cakes for you to decorate), and we will be happy to help with any questions at all you may have about cake decorating during the class.
