Vegan Baking Class

This is the vegan version of our ever popular Basic Baking Class. It is aimed at complete beginners to baking and cake making, and by the end of the day you will be able to confidently create a range of popular baked items adapted for a dairy and egg free diet.  If you have never made a cake before, or have made a cake but struggled to make it rise properly, taste delicious or look as it should, then this is the class for you.  We will go back to basics, including the science behind baking and learning what each ingredient does, and you will learn the essential skills of vegan baking so that you can apply them to any cake or recipe. 

In this class, you will make a classic light and delicious vanilla sponge cake for use in everything from Sunday teatime family cakes to children's birthday cakes, a zesty lemon drizzle loaf cake, classic fudgy chocolate brownies, and American style buttercream.

All equipment is provided, and we will be happy to help with any questions at all you may have about vegan baking during the class. You will also have class notes which include each tried and tested cake recipe so that you can recreate your cakes at home.
