Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to alter these conditions at any time.
For the purposes of this article, the term ‘cake(s)’ is interchangeable with cupcakes, cakes, and any other goods we may produce during classes. ‘We’ or ‘us’ refers to The Cake College.
If you wish to make a class booking, please use the secure online booking system. You will receive a confirmation email once the transaction is complete.
You will receive a further booking confirmation email with detailed information about the class and our location within 14 days of booking. Please note that your place on any class is not confirmed until you have received this booking confirmation email. If at any stage you have any questions about the class or your booking, please email us at email@example.com
Payment may be made using our secure online payment system, via credit or debit card.
For some classes, you can spread the cost out by paying in two instalments. Payment of 50% of the class cost will be taken when booking to secure your place, with the remaining 50% balance due 4 weeks before the class start date. To pay by instalments, please contact us via email before booking online and we will arrange this for you. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that the full fees have been paid in good time before your class. Your place on the class will be reserved from the time the initial booking is made. However, if the balance payment is not completed by the due date, the place will become available for others to book. The initial payment is not refundable under any circumstances if a place is lost due to late payment of the outstanding balance.
You may also purchase a gift voucher for full or part payment of any of our classes. Purchasing a gift voucher does not guarantee the recipient a place in a specific class. The recipient must contact us to confirm the class they wish to attend, which we will endeavour to book them on to, and we will provide alternatives if this is not possible. Purchasing a gift voucher means that the purchaser has read, and agreed to, our Terms and Conditions on behalf of the recipient.
Gift vouchers are non refundable, but if the recipient of a gift voucher cannot use it for any reason, then they may transfer the gift voucher in to another name.
If you wish to pay by cheque please contact us on 0118 9117 917, or firstname.lastname@example.org. All bookings must be made, and paid for, in advance.
Purchasing a class directly (rather than through the website) will also mean that the purchaser will be deemed to have read, and agreed to, our Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to alter our pricing at any time.
When booking a class, please tell us if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. The classes are held in a domestic kitchen, therefore if you have a severe allergy (including, but not limited to, nuts, dust or pet hair), please consider whether this is an appropriate environment for you to enjoy the class in before booking.
Please choose the date you book a class carefully as unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds if you cancel for any reason or book the wrong date by mistake. We strongly suggest you consider taking a policy to cover emergency cancellations, you can buy these from or similar providers.
Please note that we require a minimum of 3 bookings to run a class. In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel a class or party, we will offer you an alternative date, or postpone the class to a later date if we do not already have any other planned dates for the class. If you cannot make the date when offered, or we cannot run the class again, you will be refunded in full. We will not be liable for reimbursing any expenses or costs resulting from us cancelling a workshop or class, including (but not limited to) travel arrangements or hotel bookings. By booking your class or workshop with us you accept that our liability is fully limited to the cost of the class. For this reason, you may wish to purchase cancellation insurance as above.
If a refund is offered as a gesture of goodwill for a class place that you have cancelled and we have managed to re-sell, please note that it will be subject to a £20 Administration Fee to cover our times and banking charges in re-selling your place. This fee will not be applicable if the cancellation is on our side and you will receive a refund in full should this occur.
You attend our classes completely at your own risk, we will not be liable for any injuries or accidents that occur during your class.
During our classes, we do take photographs for us on social media sites and/or our website. Therefore, if you’d prefer not to have your photo taken or used in any material, please let us know prior to the date of the class.
