VINTAGE CAKE CLASS

Step back in time and learn the beautiful Lambeth-style piping techniques that have made vintage cakes a modern must-have!

In this fun, creative class, you’ll learn how to make smooth American buttercream, prepare and cover your cake, and then use classic over-piping methods to add ornate borders, ruffles, garlands, shells, and rosettes. 

You’ll work on a tall buttercream cake and practise building layers, crumb coating, and applying a neat final coat before moving on to decorative techniques. Our tutors will guide you throughout, helping you gain confidence with consistency, colour, and control.

This class is designed for students with some prior piping experience who are ready to explore more advanced buttercream decoration.

All equipment and ingredients are provided, including delicious vanilla cakes ready for you to decorate. You’ll take home your beautifully finished vintage-style cake, along with detailed notes and recipes so you can keep practising at home.
