BUTTERCREAM WREATH CAKE CLASS
A lovely festive class, which will teach you to make a delicious chocolate sponge cake, and make your own buttercream. This class is focused on getting a smooth and professional finish with buttercream on a tall cake.
You'll finish the cake off by making a bow and creating a wreath with edible decorations.
This class is ideal for beginners, and no experience is necessary.
By the end of the day you will have confidence in basic baking fundamentals and be able to confidently decorate a tall buttercream cake.
All equipment is provided, and we will be happy to help with any questions at all you may have about cake decorating during the class. You will also have class notes which include recipes so that you can recreate your cake at home.
During this class you will learn how to:
Bake perfect, level chocolate sponges
Make smooth American buttercream
Work with chocolate ganache to give your tall cake stability
Split, fill, layer and dowel your cakes to create a tall cake
Create a professional finish with buttercream
Use edible decorations for a pretty festive finish
