If you’re joining us for one of our multi-day masterclasses, or simply fancy making a little break of your visit to The Cake College, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to lovely places to stay nearby.
The Flour Barn is tucked away in the beautiful Berkshire countryside on the Yattendon Estate, surrounded by pretty villages, country pubs and some wonderful independent places to stay. We’ve gathered together a few of our favourites, including some lovely local B&Bs, cottages and Airbnbs run by people in the area.
STAY IN YATTENDON
If you’d like to be right on our doorstep, the beautiful village of Yattendon is just a few minutes from The Flour Barn.
The Royal Oak, Yattendon
A lovely country pub and hotel in the heart of Yattendon village, with beautiful bedrooms and an excellent restaurant downstairs. It’s close enough to The Flour Barn to make getting to your class wonderfully easy.
Manstone Cottage - Yattendon
A lovely local Airbnb in Yattendon itself – a great option if you’d prefer something a little more private and self-contained during your stay.
Strouds Wing - Yattendon
Another self-contained option right here in Yattendon, particularly handy for students joining us for one of our longer courses.
JUST DOWN THE ROAD
The Pot Kiln
Just a couple of minutes’ drive from The Flour Barn, The Pot Kiln is a beautiful country pub surrounded by woodland and rolling Berkshire countryside, with individually designed bedrooms and plenty of rural charm.
Manor Farm Cottages
A collection of lovely self-catering cottages at Manor Farm, offering a peaceful countryside stay within easy reach of The Cake College. A particularly nice option if you’d like a little more space or are staying for several nights.
Hotels in Newbury
For a wider choice of accommodation, Newbury is also within easy reach of The Flour Barn and has plenty of hotels to suit different budgets, along with restaurants, shops and everything else you might need during your stay.
